Oliver Tree – Demons (feat. Beat Culture & Lena Kuhn)

My initial value was found through birth
Spit out the womb, spun around the earth
Knew I had to crash right
I said that I knew that it was time to go face to face
With demons from my last life
We find it hard putting things past us
Tend to start running so they couldn’t catch us
Some can’t escape the pain, some endure
Some attack us in our dreams, make us suffer more

Sometimes you know, sometimes you don’t
Sometimes your thoughts provoke assumptions
Assume that your wrong it happens a lot
Sometimes it’s easier pretending that your somebody you’re not
Someone needs to tell me when to stop sometimes
Sometimes I know, sometimes I don’t

Sometimes I look at who I am in the mirror and forget
Sometimes I return home to demons on my doorstep
Just let me be, I want you to leave
Sometimes I get so suffocated, I could barely breath
Drowning in a sea of demons, swallowed up by problems
Reaching for the surface, but I’m sinking to the bottom
And my only other option, is the fact I know that
Sometimes it’s easier pretending that your somebody you’re not
Someone needs to tell me when to stop sometimes
Sometimes I know, sometimes I don’t
